Question New member needs advice:

Hello Y'all,

We just joined this very interesting and informative site.

My wife & I have been RVing 3 years this July. It seems every year there is more to learn about the RV on the upkeep/preventive maintenance, etc.

Can anyone advise me on the best caulk to use outside my unit? I need to caulk the top of the slideout.

Thanks,
RicknRobin

The one sealant/caulk product that I have heard about and have used on roofing is a brand referred to as "Dicor" You can go to Dicor.com and you'll see their website that provides info on a variety of sealants that they sell. Get some info on what is the most appropriate product from Dicor for the top of your slideout. Give them a call, I'm sure they could be of help.

Hi RicknRobin,
Welcome to iRV2. In addition to Dicor, there is:
1. Geocel ProFlexRV go to Geocel Corporation - Manufacturer of Quality Sealants, Caulks, and Adhesives Designed for Tough Construction and Repair Applications to read about the products.
2. C-10 Flow Seal - This is a self leveling caulk/sealant. Go to Caulk - C-10 Self Leveling Caulk from Dyco to read about the product.
