My ORV dealer was two hours away or longer depending on traffic through Portland. Bottom line is, that was the closest.

Don't buy your trailer going in thinking about warranty work. If it happens it happens, kind of like a going to the doctor.

So we are considering purchasing an Allegra bus. After owning a Thor Aria with many problems, one major (basement gets full of water when driving in a rain storm), we are wondering what, if any, problems can we anticipate?

You can anticipate anything you want, but what happens is what happens. I didn't anticipate the engine needing to be rebuilt 2,200 miles after we bought it, but it happend anyway.

Do your own inspection on your Lance roof. Don't take it for granted it's done right from the factory.

I've heard horror stories about Outbacks, but ours hasn't been back to the dealer yet after purchase for any warranty issues in 18 months and 10K+ miles of trips. Check around, it might be that someone closer can preform warranty work on the Lance if you need it. But I wouldn't let that one thing stand between me and the RV I want.
bought my LANCE 1985 (just north of) Minneapolis .... 8 hour drive. Warranty was not an issue - Lance mailed items needing R/R - I put them on.

Kone,
I thought you were asking if you should buy from a dealer 2 hours away?? Sorry if I misunderstood your question, also I have no experience with Lance. If the closet dealer is 2 hours away, and that worries you then move closer.
I'm currently shopping for a new to me dual wheel truck, no more then 25,000 miles on it. I'm looking on line all over the USA. I don't have a problem flying to another state and buying the truck.

We bought new and never returned to the dealer. Guess we were lucky!

Out of our 4 new RV trailer purchases only one was a local dealer.

~ 99' Coleman pop-up (90 miles away, saved $1600 over local dealer)

~ 2013 Aerolite ( 130 miles away, saved $6000 over local dealer)

~ 2018 ORV Timber Ridge ( 2300 miles away, saved $5000 over a Denver dealer)**

** The closest ORV dealer for us in Ohio was Denver CO. ( 1500 miles). So going to OR. another 800 miles to save $5k was no big deal.
