Do you have a link to that? I didn't see it on Lowes site!

We tried one of those lightweight hoses and it sprung many pinhole leaks. Rocks and desert thorns and burrs will do that.

It's in the 4th July ad I got in the mail. When I did a search on Lowes APP on my phone for 50' water hose. It was the regular price $37. Sale starts the 30th.

I have tried two of these collapsable hoses. Not impressed with either but maybe this one is better. Who knows until you lays down yer money....
The problem I had with these is that every time you collapse the hose by turning off the water, it picks up sand particles and makes a mess. In addition, as one post previous stated, they like to pick sharp things.
Not for me. I'll stick to my kink free 5-8" hose.

Dennis, I guess we've just been lucky. I bought on of the Dap X-hoses last year and love it! No problems yet and it's so easy to handle and store. I haven't used it on any sandy ground though!

I'll second Dennis' sentiment. My DW buys one every year. She leaves it connected to the facet on the side of our stick and brick house - and uses it to water the plants along the front of the house. If we're lucky - it makes it to the end of season but is always a leaky mess that ends up going out in the trash along with the annuals at the end of September. We've never had one survive an entire season and make it back in the spring.

I couldn't imagine using one for the freshwater hookup on my coach.

You need to watch those hoses, as many brands are not Drinking Water Safe!

We own that hose and it is really well made. It is not the "as seen on TV" garbage. The connectors are very substantial and well made. We bought two 25` hoses and they take up so much less room than a standard hose. The compartment that I stored two 25' regular hoses now holds two of these plus room for my leveling block bag.

Be sure and read the label to see if it is safe for drinking water. I only use the white hose with the blue stripe labeled "safe for drinking water".

The hose doesn't have to be white with a blue stripe in order to be safe for drinking water. Teknor makes two versions of the hose referenced in the OP. One of them is safe for drinking water and the other is a garden hose. The drinking water safe hose is model #4002-25 as shown here:

https://www.rvupgradestore.com/Tekno...-p/10-0079.htm

Most versions that I see online are the garden hose and not the fresh water hose.

The hose at Lowes says it is Drinking Water Safe on the package.
