I think you should just do what your good-looking friend at Silver Lakes tells you, since he had to learn all this the hard way. Just don't do the things he does, like take a detour through lower Manhattan in New York City!

If the dealer throws those items in, you are paying too much for the motorhome to begin with. Nothing is free, the dealer pays for his parts. Negotiate the best price you can on the unit and worry about the other stuff later. Compare prices on accessories from dealer and shop online.

Have to agree with previous post... you're lost in the noise when you should be concentrating on the "Coach Deal"... this minor stuff can be added later!!

This is high season for RV sales and deals will be hard to find. They have so much business right now they hold their price. Plus, the factories are so backed up they aren't begging for orders either. If you can wait until late summer you may get better results.

done deal

Well today I purchased a Newmar 2014 3650 Canyon Star from Independence RV in Winter Garden, FL. I really liked the dealership and salesman, Justin Mishler. I would highly recommend checking them out for a good deal. As far as all the add-ons. In the end they never entered the deal, as was pointed out in this thread. However the parts guy, Chris Crawford, did nearly match the lowest internet price and as part of the deal a reasonable labor rate. I do thank everyone for the patience to give newbie advice and now am ready to go on the road.
