"Camping Life Television," a new cable show from Ehlert Publishing Group Inc. based on the company's Camping Life magazine, will debut on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN) on Sunday (April 24) at 7:30 a.m. EST.
According to a press release, the half-hour magazine-style program showcases the latest camping gear, destinations and lifestyles enjoyed by America's reported 68 million campers.
Segments in the first episode include: reviews of camp-tested gear; destination stories from the Florida Keys and the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Northern Minnesota; a profile of "Mr. California Outdoors;" quick tips for improving your camping experience; and a kid-tested/mother approved recipe for a delicious campfire dessert.
The program will begin its run as a half-hour pilot program broadcast to 67 million households on OLN from April 24 to June 6.
Show sponsors include Lance Camper Mfg. Corp., Lowrance Electronics, Jayco Inc., Blue Ox and ReserveAmerica. In 2006, the program will evolve into a 13-week series on the network.
"The show is designed to reach and entertain the fastest-growing segment of the outdoor market – the family camper – and represents a unique opportunity for marketers to reach this hard-to-find family audience," said Carey Bohn, director of media development, Ehlert Publishing Group.
The broadcast schedule on OLN is April 24, April 25, May 8, May 9, May 22, May 23, June 5, and June 6. Sundays the show airs at 7:30 a.m. EST and Mondays at 11 a.m. EST.
Ehlert Publishing Group, which produces "Camping Life Television," is a business unit of Affinity Group Inc., parent to RVBUSINESS.com and RV Business.

Found out tonight that my sat does get OLN, we will be watching I hope My 22-23 to see this show.
So the question is, will this outweigh the big bucks and dead pheasants audience?
