New Tires in Arlington, Tx

I need new tires for my 1999 Monico exectutive. Currently running 8 year old 295/80/r22.5 Michelins. I joined the FMCA and see prices at ~$650/ea. I have been reading up on Google and this site and see people are getting a set of 6 Michelins (same size) for $3500 installed. From FMCA it will cost me around $4500. Does anyone know if I can do better on the price? I am hearing the price reciently went up on tires and this is the best I can do. Just wanted to ask if that is true.

Thanks,
Greg

Any time the price of a barrel of oil goes up so do the price of tires.
Another poster with the 295/80s was looking into 11R/22.5s at 1" taller, may be something to consider if the load ratings are ok.

Are you dead set on the Michelins? I have a few customers that will give you their best price but no Michelin. Firestone/Bridgestone and Goodyear.

RICKS TIRE SERVICE AND SALES : Home

Can't believe I forgot to post this!

Rick's has been around for years, and will come to you as long as you have a good surface to work on. They did my FMCA/Michelin discount ordering and came out and installed the MH tires, no problems.

They do a lot of the area ambulance/fire/police vehicles and are on call 24/7 with several of the local cities.

If my memory serves me correctly, the 295/80 R 22.5's have a higher load rating than the 11 R 22.5's. They are used on the 14,600# front axle. they are a lot more expensive also. I think they are load range H. they do run between $ 650 and $750 each, I had them on one of my 10 wheelers, I used Bridgestones, and had good luck with them.
