New to iRV2
Hi, just joined so I could get the benefit of your rving experience. Hubby and I are about to purchase our 1st rv; we'll be full timing after retirement. We've seen a lot of likely looking units at mhsrv - does anyone have any experience with them? recommend anyone in the area who can check out an rv for us (we're in VA)?
Look forward to reading lots of helpful tips here.

I hear good things about them, especially if you buy brand new.
I have heard a few folks that bought used state they were less than pleased with how they felt like they were treated after buying used - but then again, some people "expect" things - so take it for what it is.
Whatcha lookin at?

Glad to have you here with us. You didn't mention what type of RV you are looking for, but there are a couple of dealers north of Richmond (names escape me) that I notice when driving on I-95. One of them is huge, so I would suppose they have a big selection. You can also look at RV Trader and RVUSA as a resouce.
Best of luck with your search and Happy Trails!!!

We have owned several motor homes SINCE 1962 I wouldn't hesitate to buy a used one ,as they usually have the bugs worked out, We had a few used and no problems all different brands from CLASS B, CLASS C,AND 14 DIFFERENT CLASS A,GAS AND DP, BOTH NEW AND USED, We had good luck with all of them except a BRAND new CLASS C MADE BY THOR, I WOULDN'T purchase a new or used THOR PRODUCT.

first off if you are familiar what to look for fine if not hire someone to do it.
few tips don't buy anything that's spent longer times along the coasts florida etc.
salt air is the worst thing eats metal upholstery everthing
also a low miles unit isn't always the best when it's not been driven
good luck
