New to the RV road for adventure

Hello all- I recently bought a 1988 National Dolphin. It's a 27' class A. Really looking forward to a road trip eastbound in Spring.

I had driven the rig just in test drives as it is still getting road ready for home delivery, and it feels comfortable, but I was curious about one aspect. Winterizing or better yet de-winterizing.
I guess it is common to use Propylene Glycol. Basic question...how safe is it? I know it's a widely used additive in many foods and substances that can be ingested, but you all know how it goes...one day one item is fine and then the next day bam! It's on the "bad for you list."
So RVer's can you enlighten me and put some of my anxiety to rest on this subject.
Thanks for your time and responses!

Hopefully you got your new rig from someone that can help with what they're done to winterize so you have a starting point as to getting it up and running again ...
There's a lot of experience up in here that I'm certain will be able to assist with your particular make/model ....
Enjoy your travels ............

safe antifreeze

we used the non-toxic antifreeze for years, in spring we just rinsed it thru

until the water was clear.

The antifreeze in your motor home should have been designed to use as such. You should be able to rinse your system out and be good to go. For the most part I might use your motor home water to cook with, but for drinking or brewing coffee, I carry gallon jugs of water.
Have fun with your new toy. Gale

Congrats on the MH, Before taking it out on a long trip I would recommend a short local adventurer to make sure all systems are ok. That's after dewinterizing and serving all appliance's, don't forget to check the tires out,
