Need more tension on the weight distribution bars. Van us too low in back and front is too high.

Yeah I knew it wasn't set up, we were only going a couple of towns over. The distribution hitch is still set up for my pathfinder. That was the last thing on the list. Thanks for the heads up though.

I used to tow with an E150. I now realize my 31' travel trailer was too much weight for a vehicle that weighed 7500 lbs. dry--with the custom interior and added high top. My chassis weighed 6600 lbs. dry.

Be careful on the weights.

Haven't hit the scales yet but my camper is only about 5,500 packed and ready so that leaves me 7500 for family and van. Cgvwr is 13000 if I remember correctly. And we don't have any plans to build out the inside right now. Should be right in line, but I'll let you know whenever I finally get to the scales. (tried driving over the one from inside, didn't work out). Lol kidding

I towed with a Dodge van years ago. The hitch made a lot of noise so I bought a kit that went over the ball mount and tightened up with bolts to take up the slop between it and the receiver hitch.
