Newbie forum question - who/what is "DW"?

OK, I give up. I can already hear people saying "I can't believe he doesn't know this", but....I've seen this reference over and over, and while I'm fairly certain that "DW" is used in this forum in reference to one's wife, but for the life of me, what does it stand for?! Devoted Wife? Dear Wife? Darling Wife?

Thanks!

Mike

Yes, and maybe other descriptive words, based on the mood

I guess if it were to be used in a co-ed meaning it might even be "da whiner".

Not that I rate such verbiage!

You built a dam around the wife? Some would add an "n" to the word dam!
