Newbie from Merritt Island, Fl

Hi to all. My wife and I are in the process of buying a 2001 National Tropical 6350 36'.
Has anyone had trouble at state parks with a 36' rig?
Thanks Mike & Sue

Glad you joined.

We have a 37' and have had no problems with the length. We stayed in state parks in GA, MS and CO.

Welcome to irv2. Generally 40' is the limit however some parks can't accommodate that size and some can fit larger. Here's a link to some previous threads on this subject.

Glad to have you here with us. You should not have problems in most parks with 38 foot. However, You can always go to either the website of the state park you're planning to go to or call them, and they should be able to tell you what the maximum length they can take.

Happy trails!!!

There a few places that cannot accommodate you. but not enough to be a concern.

I lived in Merritt Island for many years and worked at the Post Office there until 1973. In the 1950's I was stationed at Patrick AFB. Except for the mosquitos, I really loved the place.

Congratulations! Florida State Parks all have a length posted for each site. They are all great, go online & have a look.

Welcome! We are in Cocoa so close neighbors for sure. Like mentioned before most state park websites in Florida will show the length for each site. If you want one particular recommendation you should go to Suwannee River State Park in Live Oak between Tallahasse and I75. Just beautiful, with full hookups lots of shade and 36 feet would not be a problem. You can do some great hiking there. Only about 30 sites there so I would recommend reservations.

Hi Mike & Sue! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!

Don't usually stay in state parks so I can't help with your question.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
