Newbie, wondering?

First post and new to forum. I'm semi retiring in two years. I'm also a YouTube fanatic and love the videos of nomadic full time RVers. I'm wondering if this is something for me. I've been to a few local RV shows, but I have questions that I just need some experienced RVers to answer. I don't trust sales people as far as I can throw them. Now I will be solo in my travels and this is one of my concerns. I am renting a 37ft bounder for two weeks in the fall and taking a trip (dry run). Question for the day, can a solo RVer manage a larger class A, 45ft, alone in terms of backing into a campground spot, hooking up a dingy etc without a spotter?

Absolutely. You have a back up camera, trust it. The only time I ever bumped anything while backing was when my wife was spotting me

I hook up trailers, back into sites all the time by myself. No worries. If unsure, stop, get out and look. Scope out the area before backing in.

Yes, you can do a 45' by yourself. Toad hook up is easy, and as someone said, when backing in, if your not sure, stop, get out and look.
It gets easier the more times you do it.

I bet if you ask, a bunch of people would be glad to help. Just make sure you agree on hand signals before you start.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

Yes, you can handle a 45' alone, but you would be more comfortable with maybe a 40'. As others have said, there will almost always be someone around to assist you if needed.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Actually it was our home air conditioner in the driveway. Thankfully only paint smug on the a/c and nothing on the RV.
