Newby Questions

Hello all!! Just purchased a used 2007 22' Starcraft Travelstar Hybrid from a private seller who never got to use it. I have a few questions I was hoping to get help with. He was the second owner and it set for the last year. After going over some things I purchased it, but he was not very helpful on answering a few questions and so I have recently found a problem. I hooked the camper up to my house electric and everything worked great for a little while, but then I noticed the lights on the microwave stopped working and then noticed nothing was working. I checked the breakers and they were fine as was the electric from the house. After shutting breakers off, unplugging and then plugging the electric back in I turned the breakers back on and everything works fine, again for awhile and then for some reason everything goes out again. Can anyone give me an idea as to what might be causing this?

The last question is I wanted to check the heater out which runs off gas. I switched the thermistat to high, but am not sure where the heat comes out, unless it's up on top the ceiling where the a/c controls are, but we waited for awhile and couldn't feel a difference from any vent nor could I hear anything from anywhere. Was wondering if it came out forced through the vent under the fridge and I just couldn't feel it OR do I have to turn the fan on where the a/c controls are and wait for it to get warm? All the other gas operated appliances work, like the burners and the fridge that runs off gas gets cold real quick. There was no manuals that I can find with the camper, but it honestly looks hardly used inside and out. ANY help would be appreciated as I'm sure it's probably small stuff I do not know about. I am very handy and work on most all of my vehicles and home renovations, but the camper thing is way new to me. Thanks everyone in advance for the help!

The fan might not be working in the charger if it get too hot it will shut off I guess there is no battery installed that put a load on the charger also it's running full bore all the time.

The heat is gas and a 12V furnace provides that the t-stat should say heat or furnace or be a separate t-stat

Working on a camper is close to a house it has just about everything a house has but on a smaller scale

Almost sounds as if there is a bad connection somewhere in the mains supply from the house outlet to the circuit breaker panel in the camper. The connection is OK for a while and then heats up until the circuit fails and then by the time you reset everything and check, the bad connection has cooled and works oK again. Would expect a bit of dimming and flickering if that was the reason though.

Could you try turning on the circuit breakers one at a time and see if just one circuit is causing the problems.
Also try reducing the 120V load to a minimum and see if it still happens.

Is there an inverter on board and could that be supplying the 120V loads instead of direct from the mains.

Make sure that you are using a 12 gauge extension cord from the house.
