Complements of Good Sam and Pilot/Flying J - - Pilot/Flying J sent me a application for the NEW fuel discount Card - - Promising a $.06 discount for gasoline and $.10 discount on diesel fuel. Great! I filled out the application and at the end found I was filling out an application for a Good Sam credit card - - which I don't want of need. This seems like "Just another Good Sam Scam" Thinking about rempving my self from ALL Good Sam stuff - - Including road service, Insurance, and membership.

Suggest you use caution when applying for Pilot Discount cards. When you get to the end of the application, the first mention of the credit card comes up

It's not a Good Sam credit card, it's a Pilot charge card. Details are explained here Pilot RV Plus - Program Details It obviously is not for everyone, that's a personal decision. To me it's another indication that Pilot does want our business since there are no transaction fees.

Shame on Good Sam for offering you a $.06 discount for gasoline and $.10 discount on diesel fuel.

Just show them and use your present Credit card for a 2¢ and 3¢ discount.

Don't see the 6-10¢ discount.

I just signed up on line to get my $.06 on Gas and $.08 on Diesel with the Plus Card.
It is not a Credit Card. The 8¢ may keep me from using Murphy's next summer with the 10¢ off with the Walmart Gift card, that I used about all of last summer.
Not sure if they will have the same program next summer.

Is there more than one card application available on that site? The only one that I see asked for my SS#, had repayment terms, and the standard boiler plate for a credit/charge card.
Will my current PFJ card still work without the credit/charge card?

Dropped mine a long time ago. Usually can get 10% percent discount from campgrounds, but just asking. The membership wasn't worth all the mailings. And now this.

If you don't want to apply for the charge card, then you don't have to do anything. Your current loyalty card will continue to work in either case. The biggest benefit this charge card brings to the table is the ability to swipe and pay for fuel at the truck pumps. You do not have to go inside at all.

This is NOT a Good Sam card. It is a Pilot charge card.

Since it is a legit offer I'd not call it a "Scam"... I got the Email today (Trashed it) and when (not if) the paper mail arrives.... Well it will come in handy (Fire starter)

I got an e-mail today from CampingWorld/GoodSam/Pilot-FlyingJ. One e-mail.
GoodSam was the monthly renew letter with a twist (Discount on Gas) plus discount on renewal (almost had me there Clever little rascals) then came a 30% discount at CampingWorld.
I studied it and studied it-Seemed to good to be true.
I deleted it and have gone back to the trash twice to see what I had missed.
Really ganged up on me.

I signed up for one too.

For those of you still getting GS junk mail do what I did. I called GS customer service and asked to be removed from both lists (email and postal mail) took 4 to 6 weeks but I have not received anything from them in almost a year now other than my renewal notice and a phone call when I switched from GS to Coach Net for road side assistance. It's better to light a thousand candles than to curse the darkness.
