Newmar Baystar 3124
Can anyone give me an idea of a fair market value price I can offer the dealer.
I think the Baystar is a quality Class A unit but I do not want to pay full price nor do I want to offend the dealer. I’m sure they are use too this but I don’t want to get into a lot of haggling either. The new 2019’s are coming out so am I to assume they won’t deal on these as much? What percentage do most use for their final offer.
Thanks,
Pbud

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I can't advise you on what to offer. If it's a 2018 and the 2019's are about to come out then you should be able to get a huge discount!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Maybe list minus 35% to get started. There really isn't much left for the dealer if they take 30% off. Also possible to factory order and get just as much off since the dealer is already assured of a sale without paying flooring.

You could offer 35% off, which the dealer almost certainly won't take.
You could ask the dealer for his best price, which they'll pitch you 20 off and say it's the best deal ever. Which it isn't.
Or if you don't want to haggle then cut to chase and offer 28% off list and tell them to call you when they're ready to accept. Then go home and start calling other Newmar dealers to make the same offer.

You are doing good in the 25%-30% range, as that is where most of the dealers are. Occasionally you can do better if Newmar has any dealer promotions going on that you will never know about. And don't expect any "huge" discounts just because it's a left over 2018. My understanding right now is that Newmar isn't taking any new orders right now(at least for lot stock) as the demand is too high.
