We have done a bunch of traveling and there is one thing that sticks out is the huge number of very expensive RVs sitting on each of the Camping World's lots, new and pre-owned. Yes, I understand about 'bank owned floorplan' units - but even those require a lot of dollars by each CW owner to pay the interest on the loans on types of vehicles that really don't move as fast as say those stocked by the Ford or Chevy dealers down the road. Then there is that very large sales room and accessory/gadget/parts area. I'm aware that there are many 'rubes' that don't know the difference, but even they get the message pretty quickly after being abused one way or another. My personal opinion - CW will cease to exist in its present format within the next ten or so years.

Oh and another item - how does CW afford to be the title sponsor for the NASCAR truck racing series Camping World extends title sponsorship of NASCAR Truck Series through 2022 | FOX Sports The gross profit dollar number quoted by Lemonis - gotta wonder about those 'rubes' again!!!!

And typical of CW and their lack of communications I didn't even get a notice......just 'deactivated account'.
They didn't even have the courtesy of messaging me.
Much like the way they handle customer service at their stores......no call backs, no notifications etc. and when one inquires they come back with a rubber stamped corporate statement.
Your knowledge and helpfulness is missed at RV.NET.

Only 9 months?
A friend of mine has been waiting 3 years for CW to get the parts for his patio awning.
Fortunately he is able to use the used '07 Bounder he bought in 2012 at Dixie RV, (the Hammond LA Camping World), without a working awning.

(Repair of the awning was part of the purchase agreement with Dixie).

Sorry to hear that.
Sadly criticism, (no matter how true, honest or sincere), is simply not tolerated on far to many RV forum sites.

Something like the brand forum where I got slapped around after telling the mods that they were wrong when they strongly criticized another member in the public area.

Which forum? The MOD in the campfire is really rude. The rest seem fair.

As a former RV salesperson I hate to tell you BUT this is very common. I would suggest you find out the name of the General Mgr for the store & speak to him in person if possible. Unfortunately for the sales person all they can do is TRY to help

I will second that.. Way easier to blow someone off on the phone than face to face.

Also, Seriously inspect the rig before you sign for the repair work.. They have a way of not doing what you tell them to do or doing it wrong.. I've had CW do two things on my right.

BOTH were done wrong... Minor goofs easily corrected but BOTH were done wrong. 3 errors on 2 jobs is not a good success rate.

Ok, newbie here. I know what CW is but what is PPL?
Thanks

Good to know for future reference. The climate is always set at the top of the chain of command and it's obvious to me that place doesn't care! Not a place I will use.

Don't know about their RV Sales/Service side of business but first hand knowledge of the RV Parts side which is very good.
Great pricing and good delivery times.

So don't dismiss the RV Parts Section
