No Credit Card No Warranty at Quadra Levelers

"I'm sorry but that is the only option available for shipping overseas. Quadra will only use UPS for overseas orders and will need a credit card to charge the shipping to. I apologize for any inconvenience. This is the way it must be."

I do not have a credit card so i am out of warranty .
Also it goes for a wire harness that is very small where the sockets are , defective a problem that its appear during driving loose contact wich make the relais to operate "going up and down"
Its a real problem during driving since the hydraulic legs want to come down .
But its prevented since i drive so its going up and down.

A minor problem since the problem i have located is in the contacted points
meaby a parts cost of few cents.

but this is what i get as a answer from them.

Jim Amstrong is a great guy at quadra helped me to pin point the problem
(calling for more the 2 hours from my from europe to usa).

He said you need new wire harness (i am just using this system about 2 month now).

Great support guys at service department, cumbersome (Mod Edit) getting replacement which Jim said is out of his control.
Pity a company works this way.

Reason for us never to buy anything there anymore.

A prepaid Visa card should do the trick.

Contact the vendor and have them supply all shipping details...pickup delivery weight value and other things they enter to ship.

Then you can work with ups to generate a pick ticket where you pay and vendor prints a label to place on box and all is well.

Many vendors use this process for equipment returns as does amazon for item returns.

If you have local ups store they may be able to work with the vendor and collect shipping cost from you as well.

Just call ups and ask them how to proceed as they have ways to do this.

The OP is in Dronten, The Netherlands, not the U.S.

If the loose connections is causing the relays to deploy the jacks, try putting a shut off switch in the power cable to the control board. You could then drive with the power off and only turn power on when you wish to use the jacks.

If not UPS (which has a Worldwide service), then some other import/export agent. They handle the details of picking up and paying for whatever is needed, customs and excise, etc. For example, they might have the item UPS shipped to their US agent and then handle reshipment to the Netherlands.

Credit cards do exist in the Netherlands, so I'm guessing you have some personal reason for not having one or wanting to get one.

I find it choking that everyone seems to find it normal, if you do not have a credit card that you do not get any warranty.

i guess i from a different planet where people just have cash money and pay cash and has savings instead of debts

You have a warranty, but you don't have a convenient way to pay to get the parts shipped to you. And you probably wouldn't be any happier if they said you can pick them up at the factory, or return the item for repairs, which are other common warranty provisions.

I guess us Americans are more used to using credit cards for most everything.

Even dealerships are charged for the part(s) and shipping for warranty parts requested and authorized. They are then credited for them once the defective part has been returned and it has been inspected and determined to be bad. If the part is not defective, reimbursment is not made.

I guess you guys responding from the states do not realize the problem faced by foreign nationals trying to deal with Oops and parts shipments. I will not deal with any company outside Canada that only ships via Oops. I will not go into details but ...

The issue here is not UPS vs another carrier - it's how to pay for the shipment. The shipper does not provide any alternative to a credit card as the means of payment to the carrier.

Could it be that Quadra requires a credit card to ensure that the defective part is returned to them?
