No more Smart Wheel

After countless problems plaguing my Smartwheel I finally have had enough.
I had trouble with the controller and the clockspring was now acting up.

I took the whole thing apart and built a small box and installed the buttons from the wheel into that box along with a new horn button. I mounted the box above the Allison shift pad on the side wall. There are only two wires that come up the steering column so I cut them off and re routed them to the new box.

The wipers now work every time, as well as the cruise and horn.
I actually find it easier to find the buttons now at a glance. I made a couple blanks to fit in the steering wheel where the buttons used to be.

It works for me, but maybe not for everyone.
