NO MORE toll road

Just to let you RVfellows know,
#5 Road between Hope and Kamloops in BC does not charge anymore toll...
So - you save $10.00... must be getting closer to election time...We had to pay for 20 years... Traffic via that Highway is up by 10%...
Highway #1 is getting less traffic now....

I remember getting on that road on the way from Seattle to Banff. As I'm driving, I realized that I had ZERO Canadian money on me. Fortunately they took a credit card to pay the toll!

Now if NJ would follow suit. Comedian George Carlin referred to us as the 'Tollbooth Capital of the World!'

Can somebody please explain why - in this age of technology - why we can't get a universal "pike pass" type unit? 4 different ones in the midwest, plus west coast - not to mention Canada's batch.

The only ones that SEEM to be trying to get it together is the consortium in the northeast. How much trouble can it be - and at what ultimate revenue enhancement.
