I used to have a Komfort 5ver with no slide. Then bought the current rig with a slide. Can't believe the room it gives me.

Without the slides you take turns standing up. no pleasure there. the extra couple of feet makes a huge difference.

We went from a two slide MH back to a one slide MH. We would not however be able to ever go back to no slides. Just not roomy enough.

Before we started looking I was sure I wanted 32' or less with no slides.Didn't want the leaks and weight. Then we looked at a 36' with slides and that is what we ended up with. No regrets. So far on this trip we are going on 6 months. I think with no slides we probably would be divorced.

Before purchasing, I had rented a few class C's (no slides) in Alaska. They were great for what I needed at the time. Then when I went to purchase my first MH I ended up with a low profile 36 FT. Airstream Landyahct with no slides. After using it one year, I quickly decided that if I was using this as R HOME, it was going to have to be larger and more room for storage. I ended up with a 40 ft. DP 2002 Monaco Windsor PBT with 3 slides and have been thrilled with it in every way. The floor-plan was exactly what I wanted which is VERY important when you look at MH's. I have been to numerous RV shows since then and I wouldn't trade up unless they gave me one for free. There was one I saw this past show, but $500,000, NO WAY! I've been full-timing for over 6 years and plan to finally get on the road next May. Got laid off last February and it's now time to use this thing for what I had originally bought it for and that was to travel the North America Continent. First destination, Alaska to spend time with my 2 son's and families next May through September. I pray that I remain healthy enough to accomplish my goal.
