Non Full-timers and Not Retired-How often?

How often do you use your RVs? Do you go every weekend? Once a month? Once every 2 to 3 to 4 months?

Where do you go... national/state parks? the beach? do you stay in RV parks? do you boondock? do you stay in Walmart/Truckstops/other parking lots?

And what do you have? A/B/C? 5th wheel? trailer?

Before we retired we pulled a 5er. We have two COE campgrounds here and we usually spent a couple of weekends a month at one of them. In the fall we would to the the mountains for a couple of weeks.

My wife is a teacher and we try to go locally to COE or state parks in spring and fall once or twice a month for a weekend. Once she is out of school we go for about 2-4 weeks at a time about twice during the summer. This summer we are going east to Civil War sights and then to the Gulf Shores Alabama area to enjoy the beach. We just got a DP in April. Prior we had 5th wheels and a gas MH.

In spring and fall we go for 10 day outings every month or so. As much work as it takes me to get prepared, I quickly decided that weekend trips just were not worth the trouble. Came home more tired than relaxed.

Before I retired we went out every month for a long weekend and at least one 23 day trip to warmer weather in Jan/Feb. We usually caravan with another couple or join up with friends. Now that I've retired lots more....

We currently own a Jayco hybrid, but we are just a few months away from a new Baystar.

The last three years we have made it out at least once a month, year round. Our favorite haunt is Lake Murray State Park, since it's only about an hour and a half away, but we hit other state parks and COE as well.

Twice a year we take a week or two vacation and head out of state. The last couple of years we've gone to Colorado to utilize our hiking boots, and Florida to bathe our paddle boards in some refreshing salt water.

2015 we spent 52 nights in our little camper, we're wanting to spend a few more this year.

Have only had ours since Oct, first few months didn't get to use it much as we had lots of repairs and installs (used MH) to do, and it seemed to take forever to get everything set up how we wanted it. Have done 26 nights so far, maybe averaging every 3rd weekend. Kind of tough to get away w/kids ball games dominating spring. Just purchased an RV lot in mtns and hoping to use it more often this summer.
