Norcold Refrig too cold?
I'm in Phoenix now - temps in the high 80s.
My Norcold refrigerator is on electric on the lowest setting.
But it is too cold. In the morning the thermometer was reading in the teens.
In the late afternoon it was reading in the 20s.
Any suggestions?
I've turned it off for a few hours to see if that does anything.
Thanks

Look inside the unit, On the fins neat the top on the first fin there is a metal clip with a wire attached, slide the clip lower on the fin, it should fix your problem, if still not good, its called Thermistor, you may need new one. Very easy to change. (Sometimes the clip gets knocked off the fin)

When you say lowest setting, is it set for 1 or 9? Reading in the main box? Has this occurred before?

On our Norcold 1200 the thermistor is on the second fin from the right, a little above the middle.

Good idea, Move to the next fin to the left, and see if that fixes it.

On fridges with 'adjustable temp settings' (ie: 1-9 or 1-5) the thermistor is placed on a specific fin and thermostat is calibrated for the fin temp input form the thermistor
Leave them in their OEM position
On fridges WITHOUT adjustable temp settings (Auto Temp Control) then moving thermistor Up/Down on fin can affect fridge temp but it is minor (6*F-8*F overall)
When food compartment 'freezes' it is due to fault thermistor (failed or has fallen off the fin)
Nothing magical about the thermistor..it is just a temp sensor for the thermostat.
Measures the FIN temp which is 10*F lower then corresponding compartment temp. No temp sensed and thermostat controls go into a 'limb' mode (continuously cool) or Backup Operating Scheme (timed based cooling)

Thanks for all the replies.
This morning the reading is 38 degrees.
I did the following:
Turned off/on the unit
Removed the ice build up.
Disconnected the thermostat
Moved the thermostat attachment on the fin a bit.
Unit set to the lowest (least cold #1) setting.
