Left south Louisiana, yes the flood area, April 20, lying Shelby, Montana just shy of Lethbridge, Alberta, headed for Alaska. NO schedule except that we will depart Ak by Sept 1.
So far no problems getting space in CG or St or Fed Parks. In fact one other RV here with us.
Will let all know if and when this changes.
Do hope that we can get some type of throw away cell phone in Ca. as using Verizon cell and aircard is not cost effective.

We added Canada to our cell plan for $10 per month and got unlimited calling. It was a lot better than roaming. When we got back to the states we just dropped this feature.

We just added our two phones, Canada yesterday on Verizon 2x$10 we use them for between eachother at times. Remember DATA in Canada is very many $$$$$$$ so I'm just shutting it off and relying on WIFI here and there. Packing at the moment leaving Wa. Monday. Aot a little campground wrapped wood from Cali so I would think it could pass.

We are leaving Arizona the 17th of May. Heading North through Grand Junction Co, Grand Tetons and a day trip through Yellowstone. Should cross the border around the 5th or 6th of June through Kalispell Montana. We should be crossing paths sometime between Banff and Jasper. Sound like we may have the same agenda.

Wow what a great trip. My wife and I want to make that trip to Alaska someday. Just need the time to go. Few more years to retirement and God willing we can make the journey.

We did the trip to Alaska in 09. Found the highest gas prices to be in the Yukon.
I would suggest before crossing into Canada to load up your rig with none perishable items. That will help save some money while in Canada. Also use the turnouts for a place to stay the night. Many of the RV parks in northern BC and Yukon do not offer much.
Take your time and enjoy the beauty that God has provided.

We are supposed to be leaving June 21st. Going in the truck instead of the rv. I have a cousin that lives in Palmer so we will be staying with her. Headed back around around August 1. Will be coming back through Washington, Oregon, Northern California. Then down to Arizona to visit friends in Phoenix area. Then home. This our trip of a lifetime. Plan to make the most of it.
