Hi there, I am a pretty new member here, and I have what may be a silly question, but what does everyone do on this forum? I login and see over a hundred guests/visitors but not too many new posts and it just made wonder what kind of activity goes on behind the scenes? Do you just read old posts? Are you checking out other areas of iRV2? Are you all having funs chats via private messaging? (if you are I feel left out!! ha ha) Just curious!!

Jen I for one read all the new stuff and then try and give comments where I can, some people PM each other, some get on the chat room and talk for a while, although you will seldom see ppl on there during the day, we will sometimes invite each other on for a chat.

Jen,
Welcome to iRV2 if we have been remiss in doing it already.
Actually if you look at recent topics, there are always quite a few discussions going on at a time.
Alot of people will log on and monitor the boards to see if a topic comes up that might affect them or one that maybe they can lend a helpful answer to.
So if we arent asking questions, we are watching to see if we can help a fellow Rv'er like yourself with a question that they might have.
Another thing that I think you gain by browsing the forums is that a question may be asked that makes you think- "You know, I always wondered that or You know, I had that happen" type of thing.

For the newbies, probably one of the more outstanding assets/features on the irv2 forum is the wealth of information and references available. Use the "Find" key above, and advance search... You'll find out all kinds of useful things about your rv or the systems in it.

Jen,We all do travel around the forums on this site alot giving our input to help people out. It doesn't matter if its trailers, 5th wheels, pop-ups, or motor homes if we can give the correct information for that person thats a plus. We have our favorite subjects also.
We also try to be correct to cut down the give an take you see on other RV sites, it makes for a more friendly involvement.
Like "troth" says travel around the forums, an go back in the posts "DEEP", you will see alot of information that will help you out to some problems you may have. I still do, been here since last OCT.
This is our slow time we are all travelin in our MH's its finally arrived SPRING. ---"007"

Hi Jen... welcome to iRV2.

I have been browsing and asking questions on this site since buying our motorhome in Sept '03. I can honestly say that I don't know what we would have done without it!

Browsing the forums or searching on a topic can provide you with a wealth of info. And eventually, you even get to the point that you stop asking "stupid" questions... well, once in a while I still enter one that I laugh at later.

The knowledge base of members is amazing, and this is ..without a doubt.. the best forum we have found.

Enjoy...

Hi Jen,

If we haven't already, welcome to iRV2. We're really glad to have you here as a new member and are looking forward to reading your posts about your RVing experiences and adventures. You'll find a great bunch of folks on this site who are very knowledgeable of RVing, the rigs we use, and the places we go in them.

It's interesting that you'd ask what's going on here, we have a lot of activity here. Out of curiosity, I looked up the posting stats for the past week and our reports from Infopop indicate the following activity:

4-27 124 Posts (as of 4:28 PM EDT)

4-26 184 Posts

4-25 196 Posts

4-24 266 Posts

4-23 186 Posts

4-22 265 Posts

4-21 253 Posts[/list]
There's a lot of activity that goes on in the forums contained in the REGIONAL CHAPTERS, CAMPOUTS & RALLIES section and also in the RV manufacturer specific forums located in the OWNER'S CORNER. If you haven't peeped in there yet you might want to take a look.

Another thought I had was that your concern may be due to site navigation. Keep in mind that some of our sections may appear collapsed and will require clicking the little 'building' icon immediately to the left of its title. If a section is opened there will be a small minus sign at the bottom right of that icon and all the forums contained within it will be listed below.

Anyway, I want to assure you iRV2 is a very active site with lots going on. Over the past 30 days we've had 535,980 page views with 5,760 posts.

Again, welcome to iRV2, we're glad you joined.

Wow, I had no idea there was so much activity here, thanks for all the responses and helpful hints! I guess I have not been looking hard enough or using the "search" enough. I have to admit that I was lurking for a few weeks and reading tons before taking the leap and joining. And I am so glad I did!
Thanks all!!
