My first thought was that it was photoshopped, but if you take a close look at the rear most axle and tires, they are sitting way down, with the springs fully extended, ie; no weight on them, so I think the pic is legit.

Besides, there is nothing wrong with not supporting that last axle and wheels, they're just rolling spares anyway, right?

Naw - I just topped the air pressure in the tires up to the max. No worries! LOL

The truck driver probably got the advice from someone on the thread. After all you know the manufacturers have a safety factor.

Now there is a person who has NO regard for his motorhome. Only justification for this would be if a scrapyard is the destination.

You think it's a gas coach with the engine up front.

I'm sure the liberal use of a tape measure on the rollback and the coach was involved, perhaps even some scratching of the head!

Man, the rear tires on the flatbed look like they are overloaded almost to the point of being flat. I guess if that was the only option to get you out of a really bad spot...

I used to work with a lot of forklift drivers when installing machines in factories. A guy would show up to move a 8,000 lb machine (with a center of mass 4' from where it'd being picked up) with a 5k forklift and say "don't worry, I've got the fork extensions on".

The center of mass of the motorhome has to be behind the tow truck's rear axle. Given that the motorhome probably weight over 20k, that's beyond the axle's rating not even considering the bed and weight transferred from the front axle. As long as he doesn't go up hills, the front tires might stay on the ground until he comes to a low hanging power line.
