Oasis, Onan & Magnum?

The coach we're looking at next week has this:

Oasis Modular Hydronic Heating System
Onan Generator
Magnum inverter

Unfortunately, that's all the detail I have for it. I think Oasis and Onan are good things but am unsure about the Magnum Inverter.

The coach is a 2011 Newmar Ventana & all electric if that helps any.

Can anyone enlighten me about them?

Thanks!

Magnum makes very good inverters, especially their pure sine wave units. We've got an MS2812 unit which has been very reliable for six years.

We also have an Oasis system and Onan generator. All good quality brands.

Karen,

Google is your friend!

Oasis Modular Hydronic Heating System

Onan Generator

Magnum inverter

Click on each one above and you can read all about them. It really depends on the specific model that is installed within the 2011 Ventana that you are looking at.

With Hydronic Heating, the larger the coolant tank & the higher the BTU rating for the Webasto Burner inside the Oasis unit the better the unit.

Onan Diesel Generators are all pretty much the standard of the RV industry. I would stay away from any LPG generator and if the rig is a gasser then it should have a Onan Gas Generator. Generators are made to be run for thousands of hours. Don't be afraid if it has lots of hours. If it hasn't been run or has very few hours on the clock, that's when you are looking at possible trouble.

Magnum PSW Inverters/Chargers are also the standard for using in a RV. If my original Xantrex/Trace inverter/Charger were to crap out I would seriously look at replacing it with a Magnum PSW unit. They are great units.

Thanks for the reassurance and links. It will help to know a little about these systems before we look at the coach.
