Fill the tank halfway with water, ice, and a squirt of dishwashing liquid. Then drive it around. That will break up solids. Then dump and rinse the tank a few times. When done always put 5 gallons of water into the tank for odor control and to help solids buildup in the future.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!
I would flush the black tank thoroughly and treat with Happy Camper Extreme. Then use the regular Happy Camper on a regular basis and you will never have any odors. We have been using it since 2001. You can get it on Amazon.
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

I wouldn’t necessarily recommend ice due to messing up the sensors inside there. It’s your black tank, use a real good chemical concoction and let it sit and soak all that off. Then wash it out several times. I’ve heard of ice messing up the tank sensors though.

Is the toilet seal inside the bowl holding the bowl water? If not, it needs replacing.

Also are you sure it’s coming from the toilet itself? Smell under the sink vanity-it could be your air admittance valve not working.

Those who haven’t had a Trailmanor may not realize it has a recirculating toilet like on an airplane. I don’t know if it has an air admittance valve like a regular RV would have, but a check of the toilet seal is definitely in order. I would recommend a full tank of black water and the full concentration of toilet chemical. Flush and flush and flush to get it all mixed up. Dump and then repeat, preferably after driving around a while to jiggle everything up. It sounds like a previous owner didn’t dump it correctly, and it might take a while to,get it cleaned up.

Never had a trailmanor but have dealt with many aircraft toilets. The above poster has it right, flush and more flush.

OP: In case you forgot you have another ongoing post regarding filling up your gray tank too fast. You haven't come back to either of these posts to see if we've helped any. Please do!

The TM is an odd duck. You should add a certain amount of water along with the chemical, but I can remember what the amounts are. If you have a manual you can look it up. Otherwise just call TM and ask.
BTW, we had a lot of fun with our TM. It was so easy to put up compared to a tent trailer, yet it had lots of room for a big family. The disadvtages were the tank sizes as you have discovered. We used it mostly on weekend trips so it wasn’t too big of an impact. Hope you enjoy yours.
