Ok to wax aluminum siding?

Hi everyone,

We just got a 1988 Holiday Rambler Aluma-Lite XL 31' Class A! We just got it all washed yesterday, was covered in so much green ick hubby said no way when we first went to look at it! But it's in almost perfect condition now that its clean, not even a single dent in the siding!

Is it ok to wax it? My son thought it might mess up whatever finish is on it? And if so, should we use regular car wax, or something different?

Thanks so much!!
Diana

It's white, and a chalkiness comes off on your hand if you rub it... Would waxing prevent that too?

So no special type of wax?

The paint has oxidize try a cleaner car wax in a small section a orbital buffer will make it a lot easier. If that doesn't get it off clay bar would be next but what a job.

I found Starbrite marine Wax to work the best when I had a pull along made from aluminum. That would be maintenance. To remove oxidation you can use any cleaner Wax such as Mothers. Generally any good car Wax will work on aluminum siding after you get off the oxidation. Congratulations by the way!
