It's called a "hose guide ring"

Here's one:
https://www.rvpartscountry.com/mobil...-_p_14196.html

They are not the most stout piece of equipment in the typlical RV bath...I removed the one I had and filled the holes. But, it does keep the hose from swinging on the road.

Best luck

Thank you!! I saw those online but they don't look exactly like the junk that is in our shower. (OK, I'll admit that I use that thing as a bracket to hold the showerhead lower; I'm a shorty. ) Now I need to measure the distance between the holes and hope for the best. I appreciate the help!

Sarah,

While ordering shower parts, why not add a second wall mounted shower head support. That way you can mount yours at your height and hubby can have the other. Or splurge for an adjustable model and everyone can be wet where they want.

It's a "dothingamabobber" attached to the "whatchamacallit". Or something like that.

Believe it or not, it functions as a anti-siphon device by stopping the shower head to dip into any water in the tub. I took ours out.

A bobber attached to a thingy could be taken the wrong way.

I bought a Quick Stepper Folding Step Stool 300lb Capacity | eBay but from our local DIY store canadian tire. I got the one we have for $4.99 and DW stands on it to adjust shower height. Nuff Said.

Be careful with those, we have an ex-friend that had one break under him and topple over a retaining wall. Caused the ankle to snap in several places and he's had several surgeries as a result. Last we had heard he hadn't sued because their attorney says the company isn't worth enough to satisfy a judgment.
