Old school way of tracking our trips

My wife and I thought this would enhance the interior of our Bounder and also help us to keep track of every stop we make on our trips across the beautiful country! I am very happy with the perfect interior match on the frame.

What do you think?

I like it

Very nice. We do somthing similar in our cabin boat that we use on the Great Lakes. Except we push pin ports of call. Our Adventurer had a U.S. map on the pull out door by the fridge when we bought the rig. The previous owner had used a highlighter pen to mark all the places the RV had been. That was kinda cool to discover that hidden away. I like the framing of yours. Really sets it off. Classy touch.

Nice job, I like your idea. Not a big fan of the state stickers.

Thanks all. I bought those state stickers for the outside, but they are a bit cheesy.....not sure if I will do those or not.

Where did you get the map and the frame and what are the dimensions? We have the same interior and I think what you have done looks great!!

This is the only place I could find a high quality fabric based map, where the holes fill in.

Tackamap U.S. Wall Map from OnlyGlobes.com

They are a bit pricey at $200, but not bad for the quality. The frame is 18"x25" and you choose the background and frame colors.

They do offer nice maps including a National Parks map. Neat stuff, thanks for sharing. What you have is really nice, are you worried about pins falling out?

I studied Geography in College and am currently 4 credits short of a bachelor degree due to running out of funding.

I have used GIS, GPS and the like but I always come back to paper maps. They require no batteries and don't have some 'witch' telling me where to go. lol

I like this idea. I just hope you don't knock a few of those pins off and find them later.. with your posterior.

I also like the spot you found for your weather station! Fits perfectly! (Look above on the slide out trim). As soon as my map arrives, our coaches will look like twins.
