OOPs to much bleach

Well trying to do right I misread the sanitizing directions and put 1/4 cup of bleach per gallon of water in my 40 gallon tank. How hard will it be to flush this out ? it was bout 3/4 of a gallon total for 40 gallons.

Not hard. You'll just have to fill and empty the tank multiple times.

Might take several tanks with that concentration.
Good thing is it will be germ free.

Dump tank. NOT ON GRASS!

NO H2O2!!!!

Baking Soda ( Sodium Bicarbonate ) to neutralize, remove odor, soften.

1/2 cup / 1 Gallon water in jug. Add to RV tank &. Refill. Run all faucets, shower, toilet really well. Dump tank. Repeat with 1/4 cup/gallon. Add make up water to tank.

If you smell chlorine at tap....dump & repeat with last mixture.

If you have pumped your “Oops” through the system . Turn off the water heater and drain it. In fact I bypassed it till I had good smelling water flowing. Been there, done that, fun huh?

If your wife wants to be a blonde you can help her out. Tell her to shower until the tank is empty.
Drain the tank completely and fill it and drain it several times to flush it and you should be fine.

Just completely drain the tank, leave drain open, then go for a short drive on a curvy road to shosh out as much solution as possible.
Then refill with fresh water while mixing-in a box of baking soda. Pump through lines, allow to sit overnight. Next morning drain and refill with fresh water. Aftertaste is gone.
