There are owner lots in the RGV for less than $10K, $1000 down 0% interest for 5 years. Nice parks with perks.

I'd hate to make a substantial "investment" in a RV park, and not really care for some of the other 50 owners. And with such a small owner base, upkeep would be expensive. Such a small place might be a little boring to me. The condo route down in Gulf Shores (L.A.) might be better money spent.

We belong to a deeded membership owned RV community in the mountains. With 2000 owners, we always have different neighbors around us. Yearly dues are $400 and we can stay 14 days for free March until December. The deed costs $3500 including one year's fees. We have 300 campsites, 2 pools and an incredible commons building and commercial kitchen. And for those without campers, we have 28 travel trailers (sliders) for rent. But the best thing is that we're very solid financially.

Our fifth wheel trailer stays at the campground year round, and professional drivers move it on site before we arrive. We go out on trips, but return the RV to the campground for storage. It's a no hassle arrangement for us.

The first 5 years $3500 for deed $2000 for dues is $5500/70 days=>$78 a day. 10yrs comes to only $53.57 a day!
What's it cost after the free 14 days?

Wish I could find what you have over in Louisiana but so far no luck. I would do it in a minute.
