Opinions are like rear ends.....there's a lot of them and they all stink.

Let me go ask my wife what my opinion on that is. If I need an opinion, she gives me one.

An opinion is a persons response to events, and experiences both good and bad. for example if we stay at a CG and we think it is lousy we might say that. If we stop again and it's the same we might say it again. If after 10 experiences at that same CG it's still lousy then it comes closer to becoming a fact at least in our opinion. If 10 other campers experience the same lousy CG and state so then that opinion comes closer to becoming a FACT since it is supported by many other opinions.
Even when an opinion comes closer to becoming a fact it still may be an opinion based on the impressions of others. The skill involves separating a mountain of opinions that differ from yours. Even when you are a very small number with that opinion you are still entitled to it. If and when I enter that group I will begin to examine my position to determine if I'm missing some information.
I had an opinion concerning oil filters that I held for 30 years. I felt that the NAPA gold filters were as good as I could to expect. Last month reading these forums I found out from a knowledgeable individual that the Ford OEM filter was as good or better for our Ford V-10 and not very expensive as I believed. So I've changed my opinion.
Just this week I spoke with an individual who worked at our local NAPA store for 41 years. He told me that years ago you couldn't find any parts in the store not made in the U.S. These days it's harder to find parts that are made in the U.S. That does not make them bad parts but maybe suspected as not being as good in the quality area.
This is a FACT not an opinion. Today is another GREAT DAY. Why?? Because I'm ALIVE !!!!!

One of the neatest things about RVers is how friendly they are, perfect strangers sit in lawn chairs in a big circle and just chat.....about whatever. I interpret some of these opinion comments are from guys like me who wish they were sitting in one of those great chat circles, and right now I am not sitting in one. Hence, maybe a casual conversation comment pops out

I don't really have an opinion on the opinions in this thread. But, I'll chime in with a few facts of my own...
I camp in a motorhome, because that's the best.
My motorhome has a diesel engine, because that's the best.
I tow four down, because that's the best.
I ride Michelin tires, because they're the best.
I camp in both state parks AND private campgrounds, because that's the best way to do it.
I overnight sometimes in rest areas and Flying J's/Pilots, because that is the best.
Did I miss anything?
In case sarcasm doesn't translate well, these comments were made with my tongue firmly implanted in my cheek.

When I give an unpopular opinion at home, I wear it forever. On here, I just avoid that thread forever.

I know how you feel and I feel strongly both ways. After all if you can't trust what someone says on the internet who can you trust.
