Little heads up. The price on this pass is going up to $80 (or maybe more). Legislation has passed the House and Senate and is awaiting Obama's signature. Order immediately or pay a lot more.

That $70 is going to do more good for me in my pocket than "donating" it to the Federal Government where it will disappear with a giant sucking sound.

There are MANY people in this country to whom $70 is not an insignificant amount, especially for those on fixed incomes.

You might have a different outlook on life. But that only makes it "right" for you, not for everybody.

I agree.

When a young lad at a Midas muffler shop asked an elderly gentleman: "Why is a guy like you using his "Midas Lifetime Warranty" to get a new muffler"?.... the gentleman replied: "How do you think a guy like me got to be a guy like me?

(BTW $70 saved is 7,000 penneys earned).

I'm going to keep my Golden Access Passport especially since it's good for two people in the same vehicle!

I believe the pass is good for any number in a vehicle--has worked for me with 5 passengers. Not sure about a van or larger...

OOPS!, it does say "any accompanying persons or alternatively, the permittee and accompanying spouse and children where entry is by any means other than private noncommercial vehicle fee area"

My wife and I both have the Golden Access Passport card.
More than once we were allowed to stay 28 days, (14 days on each card), in COE, (US Army Corps of Engineers), campgrounds... which had a "14 day stay limit".

You have to look at it as a one time fee. If you use it ten times just for entrance, you have still saved a bundle over the regular fee for each time entering.

Sorry, I look at it as $80 vs $10. That is why I ordered it immediately - before Obama signs it into law. It has already passed the House and Senate.

It sucks for those of us not 62 yet. I'm just a few months short of the magical date. Guess I'll have to fork out the extra money. 😢

When my wife turns 62 a year and a half from now, we will get her senior pass and happily pay the $80. Still one of the best things I can think of for getting value for my investment.
