Thanks to all for your responses, they are appreciated and I too know that prices are changing daily--just something we have to get accustomed to. Thank God for RVers who take their time providing info, all the APPs and web sites where a person can do a little research and save a few shackles. Thereby having more $$$ to go have fun!

Thanks again.

Hi Tom and Barb,

Yeah, it's quite a "ride". Actually, it's my former ride. I've been retired for a little more than a year, now.

The three challenges with my current "ride":
1> It's much smaller.
2> It's much slower.
3> I have to pay for the fuel (see, I WAS able to keep this on topic).

The three best things about my current ride:
1> I love my "crew".
2> I set the schedule.
3> The layovers are much nicer.

Seriously, although I don't "like" the expense of fuel, all things considered, it's only a small part of the overall cost of enjoying our motorhome. To forego the fun we have just because diesel fuel costs several hundred dollars to fill the tank seems a little short sighted.

On the other hand, judiciously selecting the refueling location to save a few dollars isn't a bad idea.

Take care,
Stu

Yup - helpful folks posting week old Oregon pump prices are already 25-30 cents, or MORE, behind the current prices... (place sad and crying smiley here...)

Oregon gas tax is .30cents/gal + possible area local taxes 1-3cents. There is the mandatory Federal tax of .18 cents also. At least those are steady, now why cannot gas be as steady at one price?
