Other Fuel Discount Cards

We currently have the Flying J discount fuel card and use it when traveling with no problems so far. Are there any other companies, ie; Shell, Exxon, Valero that have a similiar discount fuel card program as Flying J's are not always available in some parts of the country.

I have a flying j card but I seldom use it. If I can find a Murphy oil station near a Walmart or Sam's club, they are always cheaper even with a card.

Agreed their prices are usually very good but the layout of the pumps is usually not very condusive to filling a 40 ft dp with a towed. I'm finding out that truck stops are usually the way to go.

I'd suggest you get a PenFed platinum credit card - it gives 5% (not 5 cents) a gallon discount - also 3% at grocery stores and 1% on other purchases.

I agree with this post! The 5% rebate requires an at the pump purchase and will be returned to you directly off the monthly statement. On top of that it does not have a limit on how much you use it!

Good suggestion, but I'm not a military vet or any other affiliation. Any other ideas? Greatly appreciated..............

I have a SAMs card and use it to fuel up my vehicles (Both RV and Jeep). I have been getting up to 5 cent off per gallon on regular gas.

TLGPE (Tom) You don't need to be a veteran to join PenFed but you do have to join the credit union with a small dollar amount. You can do it online.

Yep, I'm pulling a 37' fiver with a longbed PU truck... if a place doesn't have truck lanes then I don't care how much cheaper it is.

We joined AAA and got their Visa card. You get a 3% or 5% discount (Wife does the accounting) using it at the pump for up to $60 a day. The discount is subtracted from your monthly statement. You also get other discounts and their emergency road service by being a AAA member which costs $49 a year.

Wal-mart (Murphy USA) go into the store and purchase a gift card, Use gift card in pump.

3 off per gallon, all the time, Last fall/winter they upped it to 10

Citgo: Go into the station, buy a gift card, stick it in the pump and you get 5 off at many stations.

Kroger, Ingles, By Lo and assorted other grocery stores.. Spend money in store, Get cents off at selected gas stations. the more you spend the more you get off, may be limited as to number of discounted gallongs, anywehre from a few cents to a dollar off.

Once in a while for a month or two but not consistently.
