Outstanding Food Map

Most of you have seen on TV these places that are known for the best burger, biggest Steak, greatest hot dogs, and on and on, so, my question is, is there a map that shows these places? I think it would be a great road trip. Any thoughts?????????????

If you like Guy Fieri, and enjoy his program of Triple D - Diners, Drive-ins and Dives try this web site:

I go to either the travelchannel.com or foodnetwork.com and search the location by show(s)

The spread sheet has a lot of good places on it, but what I'm looking for is a map of the US showing the great places and their speciality items.

Perhaps you could send the show an e-mail suggesting they compile a book to sell. I think it would be a nice thing to have in the mh.

Lots of great places he's been to.

If you have a GPS (or mapping program like Streets & Trips) that allows you to input your own POIs, there is a Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives POI file you can download and install. Then you can see ones close as you drive or plan a trip to see them.

Search | POI Factory

Continually updated, currently has about 500 locations.

We have found some good restaurants using the book "Road Food". There is an online website here: Roadfood Eating Tours Gives locations and reviews.

enjoy....

Food

If you have an IPad, there is an app called TV Food Maps that has ALL the shows and locations. We got it cause, there are quite a few places Guy went to I would like to see.
Hope this helped.

It's threads like this that lead to threads with questions about ladder load limits. I am sure there other related threads, but this is all I have for now.

I usually go between yelp and trip advisor to direct me for cool diners. I also look at lthforum which is an informative forum of foodies focused on Chicago area but with many many more recs around the us and the world.
