can i buy into part of that action?
if someone invest their money, takes the risk, and it's working for them, i say let them have at it and don't harass them

Hamguy, had I known seventy was going to be this much fun I would not have waited so long.

It is nice to have private places providing the atmosphere people want and public places to serve everyone. Something for each and all.

old people/grumpy

Some of us have had our families grow up and now they are one their own. It is always nice to have them all over for a few days or weekend but then we do like our time alone and with somebody else our age we can talk to and be with. So suck it up!!!

Over 55 is a legally protected class just like race, color, creed and the rest. You can have an over 55 park, but not an over 45 park (legally that is). If somebody complains and they have to get a lawyer, he will explain it in a heartbeat. We have a lot of 55 and old things in Florida and it has been court tested.

Just the opposite for us. I have never been to a non age restricted campground where we have not been bothered by excessively loud and screaming unsupervised kids.

That protected class regulation is federal.

We're sensitive to this issue as well. We're big on using state parks (we don't like feeling squished in like sardines either!), and have learned we can use most parks as long as we do some planning. For instance, we don't do parks with beaches unless it's on weekdays during the times of year kids should be in school? We avoid campsites near playground equipment?

This type planning has served us fairly well - FWIW.

[QUOTE=wincrasher;1511223] Thankfully, it's not also one of those "clothing optional" places.

I am more intrigued by this part of the comment. Why thankfully????

They're already out there, you just have to pay for their stay. Usually by the hour. LOL.

I've only heard this.

Really!

Don't know about you, but I have a full length mirror in my house and the world just doesn't need a bunch of clothing optional people like me roaming the campground! LOL

My wife is a great cook and I take advantage of it! LOL

I think the RV park I would avoid would be over 55 clothing optional...how depressing that would be.
