PA to NE to ND Trip Route

I'd appreciate feedback regarding your experience with any of these roads:

We are heading out to visit my daughter in NE, my son in ND and my wife's parents in ND. I am towing a Wrangler and I don't like interstates and toll roads. My plan is to leave western PA on US-224 across OH and into IN. I will pick up US-24 near Huntington and follow it to Peoria, IL where I will catch I-74 to Galesburg, IL. From there, I will take US-34 across IA to Plattsmouth, NE. After a short drive south on US-75, we will spend almost a week with our daughter in Nebraska City.

I am thinking about taking US-75 north all the way to Moorhead, MN to spend a day or two with our son.

The next leg will be US-75 to Crookston, MN, and US-2 west to Grand Forks, ND to see my wife's parents.

I'm still thinking about the trip home. Maybe US-2 through the UP, or maybe head down to Manitowoc, WI to pick up the ferry to Ludington, MI.

Better check the weather reports and water levels out that way. There's been some pretty wild flooding out there according to some weather reports and videos I've sen lately. You might be better off sticking to the more major roadways and interstates.

Many roads are closed due to flooding and bridges out. Even I-29 was closed from Souix Falls south past Omaha. Make sure you check your intended route with local authorities.

Thanks. I am aware of the flooding. Eastern NE and the surrounding area has been under water for months. Now the central part of the state is flooding.

My route is open. I would like feedback overall on the roads I've selected.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I can't advise you since I'm not familiar with that area. Just noticed that you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!
