packing tow vehicle

Hello,

what items do some of you pack, store, hang in your tow vehicles, which don't need to be under protection inside the rv. i'm thinking of those with TT, mostly, but open to all.

Thanks

Welcome to the forum,

Basically, we use our tow vehicle to store bulky items we buy during our travels.

Best of luck and safe travels...

Tools and the like is all we store in the Jeep. It pretty much fills up the area behind the back seat. When we are towing it, we set the grill, a small folding table and our folding chairs in the back seat.

Welcome to the forum. Hope you enjoy your time on the site. As far as storing stuff, I'll keep my air compressor in the trunk and maybe bottled water. Inside the car I usually put my wifes fold down plant stand in the rear seating area. Don't try to carry to much stuff if we don't have too.

We carry a mobility (handicap) scooter and a wheel chair in the back of the Element. They would fit in the basement, but are so much easier to load and unload in the rear.

How do you get "mobility (handicap) scooter" into the back of the Element? My brother needs a scooter when he and I go camping.

Handling a Handicap Scooter, with my DW's I can take the seat and Battery off then lift it in and then the battery and seat. Same for taking it out.

Our towed is an SUV. We store bulky Winter clothes, hats, and bottled water in it. Nothing that most thieves would be interested in, since it's all in plain sight.

Smile Stowed Materials

I have most of my needed items in Rubbermaid storage containers. Have containers for the following

-All electrical cords, plug adapters, surge protector etc. in a bin with cover
-All sewer related items, chemicals, hose adapters, etc. in another
-Have small bin for water filter, adapters, nozzles, etc. -Container for my awning lights.
This all goes in the storage area of the trailer.
I have found that this works best for me. I know what is in each container and I make sure that I return the items to their correct container when we pack up to leave. Everything has a place, and everything in it's place.

I use a truck with a box cover and store carpet, hoses, heavy electrical cords, generators, fuel, barbeque, and anything else that is bulky in the truck. WORKS FOR ME
