Paint Problems

I have a 04 Fleetwood Bounder that I have notice on the panles over the
Front and Bk wheels the paint has got specks or bubbles in the paint.
you can pop the bubbles with your finger and a brown sticky substance
will come out it smells like a chemical paint. The entire panles will be cover in this . As far as we no this is the Orgianal paint job. has anyone else
had a similar problem . We had a man of 30yrs exp. in Auto Painting come out and said he's never seen such as this. I'm going to try to post a pix
so you can see. THIS IS IT. !! any Ideas..
Thanks
BJ

our started this past spring with only one panel now it's in all 4 panels and the bubbles have got larger. The painter that came out said he would do some research and speek with some paint company and see what might make this happen. OUR MH is kept in a coverd Shed. We think Fleetwood might have a problem.will keep you posted.

If this was on a boat I would tell you that you have a case of Osmotic blistering. It's extremely common on boats that sit in the water. Water passed through the gelcoat and creates blisters in areas that are not bonded fully. In your case with the sticky residue it could very well be a chemical reaction causing blistering.

Razzman, your answer to my question Is correct even if It's not a boat
that is what our man from the Paint Company call us today and explain this to us, The back side of our panels are not sealed so moisture soaks in
and comes out under the paint to the front of fiberglass panels these panels are around the front and bk tires.
we will be taking our MH in for wk next wk. and it's not a cheap fix!

Wow sorry to hear that. I cant believe they wouldn't seal the backsides on those panels. Make sure the repair guy does!
