Palm Springs Area Lease

Can anyone tell us where (websites etc) RV'ers search for winter stick house accommodations that include RV parking? We are part timers. Appreciate any/all input.

Turferrw:

G'morning from the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Ya know,..we've been full time RV'rs since 05 and we're starting to get to the point of looking around more seriously for a "more permanent" base and as such, have started keeping an eye out for the kind of listing sites/locations you're asking about.

Other than "For Sale/Lease" type threads on some of the various RV forums, (ie. this one iRV2, or Escapees, or others) we have yet to locate a pretty comprehensive listing site. Maybe others here will have some specific suggestions.

I believe that it is fairly common for those looking for a "Home Base", but are still doing the RV thing to buy some raw land to sit on where allowed. I have personally over the past three years purchased three different lots to sit on at my leisure, two are over 2 acres, and the other just under 1 acre.

We fulltime in the Palm Spring area and know of no such listings here. Just get ahold of a property management co. or realtor and tell them what you're looking for..

One of the best things about this forum is they don't allow sales. If it were allowed I can only imagine the onslaught from vendors. Working with a property management co makes the most sense with our listing. Thanks all.

In our travels, I was talking to a guy who owned a single family home in the valley there, believe it was Indio, that said the home had an attached RV garage where his (40') Monaco actually fit. He said it was gated and there were a couple of homes that were rented out by the owners. I remember him being originally from one of the Dakotas and really liked the place.

A friend of mine is looking for a full time residence there and has found several homes in Palm Springs where RV parking is allowed and does not appear to be a problem. Matter of fact, he won't buy unless he can park the RV. My point is I would think if these were available through purchase, they should be available through a lease.

As others have said, connect with a knowledgeable realtor and I'm sure you'll find it.

You might want to try Craigslist in that area under possible vacation rentals. Good luck.
