Parking the RV while on a cruise out of Port Everglades

We're hitting the road for a few months this winter and one of our stops will be in Florida. We're taking a one week cruise out of Port Everglades. Does anyone have any suggestions for where to park the RV for the week? 25' motorhome, no toad.

I searched and the only thing I could find on the forum was from 2009.

Thanks

I would find a campground in the area.

Google "RV storage" for the area you want. I'm sure you will find plenty.

We've left the RV while we cruise before but never out of Port Everglades. All we've ever done is just find a CG in the area and leave it there. Some ports have RV parking but they don't have electric hookup and ports are never in the best part of town so I never liked the idea of leaving such a tempting target for the local thuggery.

A CG may be more expensive but is more secure and when you return all is the way you left it. Probably not the most economical solution but it works for us. We just take a cab to/from the cruise terminal to avoid the extra expense of toad parking at the terminal.

Looks like there are several CGs in the area of Port Everglades but winter is peak season so spots may be scarce.

A lot of campgrounds offer RV storage as well so that might be an option.

Check this place out Big Cypress RV resort in Clewiston. Not really in "Clewiston" but it's a awesome place.
