Parks Canada waives fees for 2017 season

Not sure if our neighbors to the south know, but Canada is celebrating our 150 anniversary as a country. Parks Canada has decided it will waive all park fees for the upcoming season. I believe this covers all National monuments and federally run national parks. Anyone coming can enjoy the parks for free. It also covers the lock fees for the Trent Canal system for anyone with boats. Cheers.

We got ours last week and plan on being there the first week of July. Should be a good time.

Note that the FREE park pass doesn't include camping, just entrance.

I think all the parks will be packed this summer. Think about it if it's worth it to you with the crowds just for the free entrance. Next year might be a better time for visiting for many.
