Patio Awning is Jerky

I have an A & E Electric Patio Awning. The first time I opened it after non-use of a couple months, it actually stopped extending or retracting until I used WD40 on all of the joints. Since then it has been quite "jerky" when extending and/or retracting. Any ideas on what I should do to fix this?

Do you have those cylinders on it. You usually need to lube them with some WD40

Recommend that you
Use a "dry" lubricant this prevents the buildup of dust and dirt.

WD 40 attracts dust. You may want to clean and spray with a dry lubricant.
