I'm the original poster of this question, and we're about to disembark on our first long RV trip.......exciting, but a little intimidating as well. We'll get to try out the rug we bought, and I'll report back on our experience once we've used it. Thanks everybody for all of your responses. I think we can learn so much from each other, and once I'm no longer a 'newbie', perhaps I'll be able to pass along a few words of advice to my fellow RV'ers.
