Pilot, not Flying J

I've been searching high and low for a few hours trying to find how to work the pumps at a Pilot truck lane.

I have an RV Real Value Member card which has worked well at Flying J's RV lanes, but I'm going to be using a Pilot station soon with no RV lanes.

IIRC, the sequence of events (Member card/Credit card) are different between RV and truck lanes. Once upon a time, a Pilot/FJ rep contributed to this forum with detailed info on what to do and when. I can't find the info.

I've looked at the Pilot/ FJ web site as well as IRV2 with no joy.

Can anyone show me the way?

Just to be clear, I'm NOT interested in the Pilot/FJ PLUS Credit card.

Thanks
Steve

I pull into a truck pump island, note the # and go inside. I leave you FJ/P RV card, put more than I will use on the credit card, and go back out and pump. I then move the RV and go inside and settle up and get a receipt.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention that I don't want to go inside. The 5% discount I get on my CC only works if I pay at the pump.

I've always had to go in when I use the truck lanes. When I first got a Pilot/Flying J rewards card, they said that I would be able to slide it at the pump and then pump without going in. It's never worked that way. Maybe somebody else knows the trick to get it done.
My sequence is the same as above.

I use mine frequently and do not go inside. Slide the card, select tractor fuel, hit skip when it asks if you want DEF since I do not use def. And then I am asked for the security number. Punch it in and it will then let you fuel. I haven't gone inside in a very long time. I have no idea if I'm getting any discounts. I just pay the bill.

I've tried using the slot on the truck pump, but I believe it asks for an I.C.C. number or some such. I don't have a security number on my CC that I know of. I always go inside. Stretching my legs a bit isn't an issue, plus I get to see all the neat stuff truckers buy.

I'm pretty sure the security number the pump asks for concerns the PLUS Credit Card, not the Real Value Member card.

The ICC number the pump asks for happens when the card entry sequence is not correct. The correct sequence is what I'm after.

Myron,
Are you using the P/FJ credit card?

Almost all "Truck Lanes" require you to either have a fleet CC or go in and prepay. Even toll road plazas are like that. A very lot of stations that sell diesel also don't have regular lanes with it that you can get an good sized RV into. Very frustrating, but that's the way it is.

While we now have and use the Pilot/Flying J credit card (with which we can "pump and go", without going inside at all) but previously used the card you have. The advantage of that card is that it let you start the pump without having to go in first. Pump, pull ahead (to clear the lane for the next truck/RV) then go inside and pay. I don't think you can pay at the truck pump with someone else's (other than Pilot) credit card.

I'll vouch for this.
