Point of View RV Resort sold!

I just read on RV park reviews that The Point of View RV Resort is sold, done the first of May! We spent a month there over Oct.-Nov. just months ago, during our stay, we saw several small groups of business people come through...........one talking of getting rid of the Tiki hut and making the pool larger we over heard as we swam.........I asked the maintenance guy about it and he knew nothing, then days before we left, I got a chance to chat with the new manager at the club house, and when I asked him, he said Rich(Maintenance man-Cool guy) had asked him if he had heard anything, the manager told me that he had not.
At that point the owner was upstairs in her condo above the club house, as she was/is from time to time. He asked her about the rumors, and she danced around the bush on the subject he said.......
The funny thing, is that I had just left a review on RV Park Reviews today, and is not listed as of yet awaiting review..............
I guess, if it smells like a skunk.........it most likely is
BUMMER! I WAS GOING BACK THERE...........
Wonderful big waterfront sites.........
I wonder what the place is going to be now???
The owner from what I understood , was from Romania.......
I just tried to make a reservation in July, to see........"0 Available"

I was told that a hotel was going on the property, also heard
might be condos from a local. We switched to Key Largo CG

Home

Looks nice, Point of View was just a gravel parking lot with a great view.

Thank you for the link, I book marked it........the biggest thing I liked about POV , was as you can see in the photo, no problem with our trailer, never un-hooked. Looks like our next visit to the Keys, ...will be without our trailer as all the other places can't handle 70' in their park, and no place to park the trailer.........
We toured all the resorts/campgrounds from Key Largo to Key West during that month.........some how, we missed the one you posted.........and it was right across the street from us Thanks!

Check out www.keyspalmsrvresort.com they are suppose to open in the spring. If you don't know about the Key Largo CG referenced above you would never see it. No signage or way to see it from Overseas Hwy, it's on the ocean side about 5 miles north of Point of View.

$83.00/day , Waterfront site, is what our month stay worked out to be Tim.......Kinda pricey, but well worth the view every morning when we woke up Lobster's right out front, fishing, snorkeling, swimming with the Matinee's.......20' in front of the Coach. The best location/vacation we have been on so far
We are sad to see it come to a end..........

They have matinee's? Does the sun tend to wash out the projector or do you only get to watch on the 20' screen at night??
😮

We haven' been there before, but will be on a waterfront site in April as a stopover on our way to KW. Normally stop at Miami-Everglades, but thought we'd try Point of View after looking at their website. Too bad they are going away -- ditto with Knights Key.
