I'm a newbie - which is likely obvious. As I'm trying to equip my newly acquired Itasca Ellipse 42 QD, I'm wondering what everyone's opinion would be on the best, most convenient to use and portable barbecue might be. Large cooking area up around 300 sq. in. preferred.

Nexgrill from Costco, 99 bucks. Nice burning area and folds up and fits nicely in my Winnebago Tour 42HD compartment.

I use the weber Q. I have been so impressed by it that I use it at our house now. Gavecaway the big one we used to have.

Weber Q1200. Fantastic grill. Recently tried Pizza on it for first time. Turned out perfect.

We love our Weber Q!
Purchased after getting a full size Weber for home. I have been through several gas grills and the Webers have been the best for even controllable heat.

I like cooking with charcoal. I've been using the Smokey Joe for a couple of years. It's just the right size for two people. And when it wears out, I'll get another one just like it for $29.

The Weber took up too much room with the high dome - opted to go with the O-Grill 500 - looks like it has been renamed "Napoleon". Just checked - actually cheaper at Campingworld than Amazon! Like the fact it has legs that fold, cast iron grill surface. Mine came with a case when I got it a few years ago. ST

Check out the Velocity grill. Amazon or Velocity website. Amazing grill and small footprint.

Looks like what I got at Home Depot. Uses regular size propane tank. Our new coach has a fitting with quick connect but have not set it up yet. Hopefully this week.

Weber Q for sure, best portable, even flame, no flare-ups.

WeberQ 2000 at home, Weber BabyQ in the RV. There are other choices, but we like our Qs.

We've tried several. Really liked a couple of table top models but didn't like having to worry about messing up the table. Tried a Coleman Roadmaster and wouldn't go back. Large cooking surface, easy up/down, 'wings' on side for hand storage while cooking, cleans up easy and stores handily.

Solid. Went through the first one after 3 years of heavy use and bought a replacement. Easily found for $125 with Google.

JMO.

If you grill much then you know that Weber makes a quality grill....they are expensive but I think you get what you pay for (I have 3). That being said, I used to have a Cuisinart portable stainless grill that worked pretty well until it got knocked over. It folded up real nice and allowed me to roll it across the floor of the bay to take it out or put it away. My Weber Q2200 has a portable stand but must be disassembled and it it more difficult to slide the grill in along the carpet in the floor of the bay.

We kind of take outdoor cooking to an extreme since we have an abundance of room. We carry a Traeger Tailgater pellet smoker, a Cuisenart gas grill, a Char Broil Big Easy infared, a Camp Chef Pro 60 2 -burner cooktop, and a couple cast iron Dutch ovens. We will use all of it on a two week trip. We rarely cook anything inside the RV. I couldn't choose just one, but the Traeger and the Camp Stove get the most use. I would like to replace the Cuisenart with a Weber Q.
