Portable dehumidifier recalls

I have a 25 pint Fridgidare dehumidifier I purchased from Lowes 4-5 years ago that has given great service and kept my class A motorhome dry as I desire on the inside.
However, last spring I read somewhere a bunch of them were being recalled and when I checked on the Internet i found out mine was included. Seems a lot of them were over heating and causing fires so millions of them are being recalled dating back to 2007. When I called the 800 number I was told I would be receiving the necessary forms to receive a refund of $169, which is what I paid for it.
Just got home from an 8 week trip and have mailed the forms, so we'll see if I do get the refund.

Thanks for the info. Usually they make you cut the electrical cord and send them the plug before they issue the refund. (We had a small Duraflame heater recalled last winter. I was sad because I loved that little heater.)

They did require the plug be cut off just past the safety warning label and also to send along the model & serial number tag. Kind of picky aren't they? Hope I did everything right.
